Gracie has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Social Psychology with a minor in Law, Justice, and Order. Her education included a capstone research project, “Self-Perceived Changes in Personality and Identity Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic”. Her research was published in McMaster’s Undergraduate Journal of Social Psychology.
During her undergraduate studies, Gracie took an interest in psychedelic substances and psychedelic assisted therapy, completing her certification in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) through the ATMA Institute in Calgary. Following this, she pursued clinical interests in relationship-based work, earning her certification in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) with the International Centre for Excellence in EFT, and maintaining ongoing training in attachment-based therapies here at Empire. This includes both classic attachment and Dynamic Maturational Model (DMM) attachment-based modalities and assessments.
Gracie is currently pursuing an education in Art Therapy at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute (VATI), allowing her to integrate art-based interventions that can bypass unconscious blocks, and help people work on the deep-rooted issues beneath presenting concerns.
